Hi all,

when connecting all the curly pipes do you use anything on the screw ends to seal the threads, copper grease or something else ??

You must never, ever use any kind of sealant on brake pipes. Copper grease or anything similar contains hydrocarbons and will contaminate the fluid and cause failure of the seals in a matter of days.

The pipes do not seal on the threads, but on the tapers of the flare and the fitting into which it is going.

Curly pipes??? you mean the copper ones i assume.

No need to seal with anything, as the brake union connectors will self seal as they designed to compress the copper (or copper mix) pipes and thus for a tight seal.

If you want to apply a little bit of brake fluid to the threads to stop future seizing then thats a good idea....don't use grease as it could contaminate the brake fluid.
