
Flitch Panel Hole

ive stripped my dash back as previous owner had kind of bodged it and wasnt happy about leaving it,
ive go to the flitch panel, with the hole in some slight rust but nothing major, just want to know whats supposed to go in there? or can i just patch it over and cover it up?
anyone have any photos?

one seems to have nothing in and can see the wheel and road through it when driving and the other seems to have some bitumen and filler over it

You should have a fresh air vent bolted to the large hole. There will be four captive nuts welded to the flitch.
I have nothing, do you know where i can buy these from or what there name is?

Where the large hole is there should be four nuts welded to the back of the flitch to mount the vent. If i remember correctly they will be 10/32nd. There should also be a pipe connected to the back

You should have these vents that are on Ebay at the moment item number 121007375729.

Cheers Sonikk4, im guessing this could be why my windows never seem to demist and the heater just makes more noise then the engine doin nothin? lol

If you have a look at your heater you will have a large pipe on the right which brings in air from the right inner wing and then either side of the heater you will have a smaller pipe which feed air to the demister vents.
Check these out if there is no air flow from the demisters or there maybe an issue with the lever and mechanism that moves the flap within the heater unit to direct airflow into the car or to the demister.
