I'm thinking about buying some, but I've heard some bad rep. for JBW/Midland Wheels.
That they corrode / flake etc.
I wanted to check, out of those of you who have gotten some, do they deserve the rep? or are they actually alright?

Thanks

i know they had allot of trouble with their 6x10 ultralites, no one can get tyres on them without tearing the bead on the tyre.

i had a set and trying different tyre fitters ended up with 4 scrapped yokos.

buy tyres from them, buy bits from them, dont buy wheels though!

Hi, I have a set of 5x10 JBW minilites that I brought with 165x70 Yoko A032R tyres fitted. I had them shipped to New Zealand and they arrived in one piece and in good time. I am very happy with them so far after a couple of thousand miles. It may just be certain wheels that a are a problem.

Judging by the other responses here I have been lucky so you should possibly steer clear.

I bought 4 Rose Petal 10 * 4.75" from them with correct spacers, two sets of sleeved nuts, with tyres fitted. Cant complain about them, arrived all ok and promptly, the finish is spot on, no peeling or anything as yet on the wheels.

I dont know how this company is still getting away with supplying these poor quality wheels or at least advertising so heavily in the mags given the slating they get on here. This has gone on for years.
I notice they never seem to make any comments about what is being said about there products or service. To me a clear indication that they are out of touch with there customers by not being on this forum. Or being they have collered a market of producing great looking remakes of some retro wheels they just dont care as knowone else is doing what they do. I just wouldnt take the risk and buy anything from them.

Blimey, are they that bad? The difference between the only other place that do the Rose Petal wheels that I know of, Mini Spares is £51 per wheel, so I figured that amount of saving on an already expensive wheel would cover the tyre cost. They seem to be ok for now. I dont use it often, bit of a garage queen really! But bit concerned on the safety comments, am running supercharger / megajolt so could do with wheels staying intact..!

I have abused mine on a couple of track days at the air field where I work and they are managing fine.

I've had a few sets off them with no problems. They just sell cheap wheels and thats what you get for your money.

I've not had to return any or complain yet but the service i've had off them is pretty good. Bought a set of mamba off them online. They phoned me up to tell me they were out of stock the next day. Sorted out an alternative with them and arranged to pick them up at a show.

Picked them up no problems, the guy even lent me his traders pass so I could drive up to the stand and pick them up easier.
