i'm convinced now, when i come to rebuild the front end i'll fit halogens, i've got two sets of the sealed beam types so i'll just sell them to a concourse person and upgrade

Thanks for the pic

Probably superb , most probably not legal.
HID Headlamps must be self levelling, have washers fitted and be of the correct pattern.

Hmmm, these things just look the modules and bulbs, I dont see any washers etc. Sounds silly but I dont use my car at night much anyway! My old lights were rusted on the inside and one craked so replaced with matched Halogen set. I did not wire up the tiny pilot lamp on them.

I recently had to use my sealed beam equipped car at 5am - and the sealed beam lights are plenty satisfactory for sane motoring! I had forgotten just how good they are. So - don't rush into 'halogens' needlessly -but if the old lights are knackered anyway, then yes - may as well fit halogens.

Mine were like 30 quid off eBay, not a huge chunk for the differance and it's even bigger difference really than my phone captured. I know they say if it ain't broke don't fix it but still !

I've got a pair of Wipac crystal Halogens complete with bulbs that were only on my car for a weekend so as new if any of you chaps want them, I changed back to originals for a concors & now my mini is garaged for the season will probably not get back around to fitting them, they look lovely on.
