my wiper motor set on fire the other day! not good i tell you! dunno what could of caused this could it of been that a fuse as blown? because i need to buy another one and i dont want the same happening!

i am surprised it went on fire, was it in use when this happened ?
if so the fuse should have blown first, if it did not then it sounds like a wiring fault.
If the mechanism gets too stiff it could burn out the motor and cause this, but thats normally when the fuse blows first.
Check fuses incase there is too big an ampage fuse or incase it is bypassed all togehter
