I have an AC unit as pictured below. When the switch is on and knob is on CAR, is the AC vent supposed to be blowing air from an electric fan motor? Or does it just push air from outside to inside (while the car is moving)? The On/Off switch does not turn anything on/blow any air. Is there anything you guys would recommend me to look at to determine where the issue is?

Its likely to be the switch or a damaged wire.

the on off switch operates a little fan inside the heater unit so something is a miss, I would be checking connections to the switch and fan looking for 12v live, see where that takes you :)

and you will know when it works, they are pretty noisy

Car - into footwell
Screen -into footwell and on the screen

the knob with the red and blue is the temp control, push in for cold air, pull out for hot/warm air.

It's not air conditioning, it's only a heater =]

Is this unit also responsible for blowing out air from the 2 circular air ducts on each end in the dash?

No those are fresh air vents connected to the front of the car. They'll blow in fresh air at speed.

The heater sucks fresh air from the front of the car and uses hot water from the engine to warm it up.

First thing to check is that the wires to the switch are attached as they can be a bit of a loose fit. Yours might have come disconnected.

Okay thanks for the help! I live in Texas, so even if the heater doesn't get fixed, I can live without it!

I have fitted a PC cooling fan in each fresh air duct to move air even when stationary :-) These are a close fit, 12v low amperage and operate with a small switch on the shroud.
May help?
