I paid £1250 for a 91 mini city E
it was supposed to be showroom condition and he wanted £1600
it had had a respray to most of the car but the scuttle and bottoms of the doors had been filled.
4 months later I replaced most of the panels and had it resprayed... the engine was great and it had 12 months MOT and 4 months tax, and I thought I got a good deal..... so I would say as long as the panels have been replaced and not filled before respray, the engines good, and its taxed and tested...

I would say £1600-1750

Thats fair enough mate, but what he wanted to know was, was it reprayed to hide filler or was it reprayed to cover new metal?

I paid £2200 for mine, and its a bit rusty here and there......so if you find a soft touch like me you might get more than 1600. If you're not fleabayin it i'd say put it £2k ono if its a good solid car.

That's becuase that's realy all they are worth... at the moment minis are neither rare, nor expensive, and while new parts are as cheap as chips, it'll stay that way..

Magazine ads give a false impression of the actual value of a mini, especially when you can buy a fiarly mechanically sound mini with a poor shell for 2-300, spend 2.5k on a brand new heritage spend a few weeks swapping the bits over, a quick spray and for nearly 3k, you have essentially a mini which is as good as when it came of the production line.

I would recomend you put it in the autotrader ............ now please dont shoot me down quite yet i have a reason.

The people who generally flick throug that dont really have much idea of mini costs i mean u can flick through and see minis going for ££££'s and if you were to advertise it on her youd be looking for alot less lol

so i think the saying "its worth what some one will pay" is absolutly truuuuuu.

Just an oppinion not to say that all people reading the autotrader don't no what to pay lol...

Well no the respray was deffo not to cover filler and rust its had a 300 full front end on it lol. Im wondering if anyone can persuade me not to sell it lol.

I may be interested in it depending in what you want... as you know I have given my valuation, but that was what i wouldve paid last year when I was miniless... i have one now, but can always be pursuaded to part with the dosh at the right price, and could save you the hassle of advertising it... and I am working in Doncaster & Barnsley this weekend !!
