Hi my hif38 wanted a repair so i sent it to a shop to do so but until i get it back which might take few weeks i installed another hif38 i had in the storage. The problem is that i cant get it to run smoothly..i dont know how to tune it plus i dont have extra money to get it to a mechanic just for few weeks i need it sorted just to drive it on weekends... I fixed the idle but when i accelerate the car is choking and the more i accelerate the more is chocking...when i accelerate and pull the choke cable the same time it goes better...ive read that i need to adjust the mixture screw...but thats only what i have to do?
Please some help is appreciated, i am not expert on technicals but if someone can explain clearly i can do it.

On a single carb is even easier as you dont have to mess with the balancing tool.

the engine is a 998 metro and the carb is stock... im not from uk so the shops that fix mini parts are less than 5 in the whole island :)

What air filter? Exhaust? Cylinder head? Oil you're using in the dashpot?
