Don't listen to people who say yokeys are rubbis in the wet, they are talking arse.
My 539s are great in wet or dry, don't think you can get 539s in 10 though.

Colway M&S! Rubbish in the dry, come to think of it, rubbish in the wet too, but great on gravel tracks in Wales!
Yoko 008s are fine in the wet. They aren't the best by any means, but for the dry perfomance, they are worth the compromise.
See the reviews on www.tyrerack.com:

You can't go wrong with Falkens. They produce are a very good all round tyre in my opinion.

Contrary to what some people say the A008 is a cracking tyre. Its well priced and performs well in the wet or dry!
I agree with Pikey7 in thats its by no means the best, but to get the best you can start to spend lots of money.
If you're balancing cost over performance over longevity, then I would go for the A008 every time.

008R are a very nice tyre (explaining why this ancient design is still in production). I had them in 13" and they stuck quite well. Definitely less grip in the rain than when dry, but still better than my falkens, bridgestones or my friend's Ohtsus!

Dont get Falkens, they are rubbish in the wet, I (and a few of my friends) have had a couple of altercations due to their poor performance in the rain.
When buying tyres, get the best ones you can afford, think about it - they, or infact, that small patch of rubber is all that keeps you on the road. Buy cr@p and don't expect it to hold you onto the road as well as something better. To a degree you get what you pay for.
