so I've noticed a lot of oil on the bottom of the subframe underneath the clutch. I had a look around and it seems to be coming out of a little hole on the bottom of the starter motor. clutch seems okay and doesn't slip but does this sound like the oil seal has gone?

yes the oil light goes out after a couple of seconds and if you turn the engine off then turn the key to position 2 then the light doesn't come on for 2 or 3 seconds so the pressure is holding

I think, charie is asking is it coming out of the oil pressure switch and dripping down the starter motor and onto your subframe
