Come to think of it that one was 2 R1 engines put together. Yep deifnitely R1 engines, was a 2 litre V8 with 400 horses.

Yeh but Z cars have a 400bhp Hyabusa turbo, and believe me the turbo is BIG
One could do the same with to turbo-engines....

800BHP vs. 650kg, reardrive, .... Mini ...

Really sorry to hi-jack this thread... But is it true that Mini's with motorbike engines can go as fast in reverse as they can going forward?
You would be brave and foolish to try but the theory may work??

Well I guess it would be possible if you designed and built some sort of transfer box with switchable forward and reverse, then - in the words of Oddball from Kelly's Heroes - you could get out of trouble quicker than you got into it!

Lol, seriously though, as Mini Sprocket says, most motorbike engine powered Mini's have a starter motor for reversing, which meshes to a big gear bolted to the rear axle...
(or they use the old "get-out-and-push-it" method of going backwards!
