So I just picked up a set of Quarter lights and I am wondering what I need to install these in my UK spec 82' Austin Mini. Is this possible? has anyone done this? I've tried searching everywhere for some pictures or something.

So you have a set of opening quarter lights. That is good, as the glass does not needed to be fitted to the body, as it is only fitted to the opening frame, and the rubber seal simply push fits to the body. Use some glue to keep it in place.

Now, the problem you may have is with the catches. Some shells do not have the brackets welded in place. Hold the window in place, and see if you can feel brackets behind the trim, where the screws will go. If so, you are laughing. If not, you need to weld in a bracket 14A 7775 at the rear of each window opening. If the car has rear seat belts, you fit the catches to the belt mounting panels instead. If I were doing it, and needing to do the welding, I would do the full job and fit rear belts while I was at it. A full kit of seat belt mounts is available.

You seem to have a pair of front quarter lights too, and I know nothing at all about these. Obviously they would need a different size of window glass, and maybe other mods.

Funnily enough, I have a set of opening quarter lights in my shed, which have been waiting for a very long time for a Mini to fit them to. I never got around to fitting them to the most recent one.

Thank you. I think i can figure out how to fit the rear quarters. Perhaps i should have been more clear in my first post. I am more curious about the front quarters and if anyone has fitted these to a non Innocenti/ Australian spec Mini.
