Hi All,

I guess If you're visiting this page then more Minis have gone walkabouts.

Well, now you can add them onto the TMF database. I suppose the idea of this is that not only can we keep a better eye out for missing cars, but we can also keep tabs on trends and look out for your shiny bits appearing on ebay!

So, without further ado, THIS is the place you need to go.

You can pan and zoom to a very high detail on this map. How much you want to go into detail is up to you. These maps will go to streetmap level, so you can either put the location of where your Mini was stolen or lived exactly, or you can just put a marker in the centre of your town. Its entirely up to you. I will say this, use your common sense. If you own 2 minis and one is stolen, putting your exact house location on there isn't very clever.

When you "left click" on the map, you will open a dialog box to add your marker. First things first, if you've clicked in the wrong place, you can hit the X in the top right corner of the box, and you will not add a marker.

Second, you have 4 things to fill in:

1. your name. Your TMF name would be better so that people can contact you via PM if anything is seen.
2. Comments. Please JUST put in here your reg number and the colour of the car in THIS FORMAT: A123ABC/RED (this'll keep things neater and more consistent for those reading it.
3. A Link. You can copy/paste the link to the TMF thread where you've posted your Minis description in more detail.
4. pick a colour of pin! I suppose it'd be best to pick the one that closest resemble your cars colour!

If you do make any errors, PM me, and I can delete the marker

This may not bring back your pride and joy, but it will certainly make others aware of its dissappearance, and may lead to at least someting more than a report being filed at the local cop shop.

Good luck in your quest to find your Mini.

If your car is found, then please contact me, or Jammy Basturd and we can delete it immediately so that you can't then be retraced!

One more thing. IF you are out and about and spot a car that's on the list, DO NOT APPROACH THE CAR OR IT'S DRIVER. you can either call the police or contact the owner. If you do approach, then more than likely it's not just going to be the Mini that goes missing. And above all, use your common sense.

This is a good idea.

I think it should also show attempted theft which may show there is a gang operating in a certain area and we can then be on a better look-out etc.

The one about some blokes that were trying to jack up someones mini only to be chased away by the owner. That sort of thing should be highlighted aswell.
