Any ideas what cars will have 13" steels with a PCD to fit a mini?
Thanks.

The Hillman Imp had 13" steels with the mini's PCD. Where were you planning on getting them banded?
Thanks, hadn't decided, might have a try myself.

I have a feeling old Vauxhalls (Vivas and such) had 13" steels as well?

As above, I'm sure MG Midgets had 13" hubcap type steels at some point, or you could go for some banded 13" Rostyles

Thanks, thought Vauxhalls might be one option.
Think they use a 4 x 100 PCD, bit smaller than a mini but only by 1.6mm, should work, i think.

I think the newer cars (by newer, I mean like late '70s onwards) have 4x100 PCD, but I'm sure stuff like the 60's and 70's Vauxhalls (and I'm sure many other cars around that time) had 4x4" PCD. Not that those sort of wheels are in plentiful supply or anything, but still

Cheers for that.
Is it a bad idea to fit 4x100's on a mini?
Surely by the time tollerances of the wheels and the drive flanges are taken into account this 1.6mm will actually be very small.
I've read that it can put extra stress on the studs and cause them to fail, but is this a common thing or just a once in a blue moon type of incident?

it would depend on age/quality/condition of your studs, but its not something I'd want to risk.
You have a couple of options to run 4x100. You could use wobble nuts, but you would need to make sure that the centre bore of the wheels matches your hubs with some spigiot rings (on the back will be harder) as you need to ensure that the wheel is properly centred or you risk the wheel working lose
Your next option is to have your hubs redrilled to 4x100 or a set of PCD adapters made which will mean you can bolt them straight up.

If you bottle it and dont do them yourself, search for alonzecustom.co.uk on facebook, prob 1 of the best wheel banders in the country, seen his work 1st hand and i must say the welds are a work of art!
