help, im just checking that to replace a section of boot floor(near the back a.k.a the bit near the lights) i will need to remove the rear valance, and subframe, and get her on her side if possible,

the only problem being that i cannot leave the mini on its side ovenight or outside(baby gargage)\

1, am i right in how do do this,

2, can i be welded without turning it on its side

3, can it be done in a day?

-probalby worth noting that the engine is still in mini-(must remvove before tipping right?) :P

Doesn't need tipping, just get it high off the ground so you've plenty of clearance.

How much of the panel are you replacing? If you're replacing right to the edge then there are actually 3 separate panels which are attached at that seam.

As to whether you can do it in a day it depends on lots of factors. Such as if you find more rot once you start cutting bits out. How good you are with a welder. As with all bodywork, it's the preparation which takes longest.

look in the projects section camp freddy's post called bootiful he has done this and more on his.

i reckon you will have to drop the subframe as it is very close to one of the mounting points/bolt.
