got some speakers out earlier that I haven't used in a while, plugged the phone in then plugged the speakers into the socket, and it made the phone go onto the loading screen- (black with the apple logo) so I took it off the speakers

Phone reloaded, and was all fine, so I thought it must just have been due to the fact I plugged the speakers in with the phone in place and there was just a voltage spike. Put the phone back into the speakers, and it just went blank- no response, and it won't turn on.

At a guess, ive put way too much power through the phone and fried something. Just wanted to see if there was a fix for it, anything I can do?

Properly annoyed with myself for plugging it back in >_<

Tried holding down the power and home buttons for 10 seconds to reset it?

same phone and when I bricked mine like this I had to plug it into itunes and let it overwrite everything :(
took ages but it put my apps back on when it was finished and its still working ok :)

there a guide on the web somewhere - I had to hold those buttons in a certain way to get it to speak to itune again....

You will probably need to put it into a certain mode forgotten the name which allows you to plug it into the pc and restore it, it's used when jailbreaking too so there is info on the net,

I have had the same situation you have had but it put my phone into the connect to iTunes screen and took me 10 hours to reflash my jailbreak back on, was such a pain

No but the mode you put it in to jailbreak is the same mode you can sometimes put a bricked iPhone in to restore it

its called DFU mode
