okay guys, currently doing my HND in electrical engineering

im trying to work out the impedance of a circuit which has a 20v a.c. supply. with the following impedances 7 + j6,

which is simple to convert into polar form. but the problem then arrises when i need to add -j12 and 20 ohms in parallel as we havnt done parallel circuits yet

any ideas :)?
