How stiff should the brake booster servo be?
When it was off the car, I could barely move it with my hands, but it did move. Couldn't even finish bleeding the brakes, legs were aching. Engine isn't running, so no vacuum assist, haven't finished wiring up the car.
On all modern cars I've worked on (this is the 1st classic/mini I've worked on), the brakes were very soft when bleeding (open valve). This one is stiff even when there isn't any pressure.
The Master Cylinder is as stiff/soft as any other modern car. The pedals move freely if not connected to brake booster/servo.

You have an issue!
It shouldnt be that stiff when bleeding, as the servo is non operational due to no vacumn! If there is a vacumn rebuild kit I would get one but if not then a good second hand one will do

Yeah. Weird thing is, it isn't rusted-out-stuck-up. It isn't even rusty or stuck-up, just stiff as f**k. The pedal does return to normal position.
Could it just need some lube or something?
Here's what my servo looks like. @£134.40, I don't feel like replacing it.

The pedal assembly and master cylinder was cleaned up prior to install. When disassembled, the pedals move freely, the master cylinder is stiff but they all are.
With the servo out of the car, pushing/pulling it is stiff, it also stays in the position it stopped, it doesn't return to starting position. I need to pull it back to return to starting position. I was under the impression it should return to start position because of the internal return spring.
EDIT:
When the servo is out of the car:
1. Should I be able to push/pull it with my fingers or is it naturally stiff?
2. Should it return to start position by itself?

What's the best way of separating the outer halves of the servo? Gona take a look and see what's what.
