Hi all i was just wondering if it is possible to fit a 2.0l redtop on throttle bodies under a standard round nose without having to cut the bonnet and drivers side wing like dougiemc has as i dont want to copy him or would life be much better to just go clubman front (kind of don't want to as i like the roundnose)?

Any links or anything for more information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

don't want to extend the front as it makes the mini look disproportionate isn't there any way of lowering the mounts for the engine cause it looks like it only needs to drop by a little bit

Try it, if it could be done that easily, it would be
Dougies wouldn't have the bonnet chopped, clubman fronts would be less desirable.

You can fit a small block Vauxhall, a Honda D or B or a K series under a standard length roundnose with varying degrees of difficulty, biggest one being airflow.

If you're dead set on a 2.0L then I'd say yes, you can do it. With enough time and energy, although you might have heat issues. Custom building the frame is the way to go for bespoke fitting requirement though.

The other option, although you aren't keen on extended fronts is making a solid front and extending the front only as much as needed, perhaps as little as 50mm using an extra set of wings.

An idea at least.
