Right, here we go. 1980 mini clubman with a 1098cc no massive engine changes just new exhaust carb etc. Did a pretty much bare shell restoration of the car over the past 5 years, had it on the road about 6 months now and ive had a few problems to say the least (not unexpected mind).
Firstly had a hole in a valve and decided it was time to change the old leaded head for a fancy new one so that was done afew weeks ago, also some other non-engine problems but enough about them for now. I have started to notice that im loosing oil around the bottom end of the engine and at the moment not really sure where its coming from, im thinking maybe the gear linkage rods that meet the gearbox but i was just wondering if anyone had had any similar problems or there was possibly a common problem that i dont know about.
I really appreciate any ideas or help, and thanks for reading. Mumfo.

If it is coming from the gear linkage you're not alone! Very common for minis mini spares do a kit to fix it. Can't comment on how good it is because have yet to fit mine. Sure some one can comment about that though. Link to kit is: http://www.minispare...M3022.aspx|Back to

I just fitted that kit on my Mini today! I can't comment on how well it seals as the car not drivable yet, but installation was very easy and the quality is good.

When I removed the old seal, I was surprised to find another one behind it!
