Hi all, got a 1987 mini. I've been searching around for an engine but like the sounds of a conversion to make the mini quicker and more sportier with a different engine, does anyone have any ideas on what engines work well and are fast? If so what are they and what's the instructions for converting the mini to a different engine.. Hard? Easy? Need different parts? I'm clueless on the conversion side ideas, thanks

All the ones that have worked well have their own section on here.

The mini has been around for many years and there are many years of advise all over the internet on the subject of engine conversions.

Would be much easier for you to search for what you want to know. Pretty much everything has been covered before in some way or another. That goes for anything you may want to ask related to a mini!

either search google or the forum. Best way to search the forum is by going into the advanced search and selecting 'search in topic tittles only'.

it depends what your intrested in ive spent alot of time round micras so going micra route was a natural choice for me others would feel the same way about K series and other convertions, if you want something easy your besty off going to allspeed and buying one of there subframes and go from there other wise there are people selling full set ups like Kappa recently full vauxhall 1.6 setup for like £800 cheap
