Did you know they were originally invented by Hasbro as a family game
Think it was because they were used in The Exorcist that they were suddenly seen as a way to email the devil!
True tings! used to be a family fun guessing game.
Also I'm a Christian so its all nasty

Stopped at a mates house and I kipped on the sofa, all night I kept waking up feeling like I was choking to death. In the morning I told my mate and she said, "oh yeah, thats the ghosts sofa!"
They had weird things happens, doors open and shut, fruit go bad and stuff like that. The room locked its self for no reason as well.

It wasn't invented by Hasbro, they just patented a commercial version and sold it as a game. In fact, the principal is very much older - perhaps as much as 1,000 years - and there are many who consider it to be potentially harmful.
A bit like acid - people may try it and experience nothing more than a bit of fun. Others may be damaged for life.

Which bloke? Mithra? the Zoroastrian god born Dec 25th, died and resurrected on the 3rd day, known as the lamb the way the truth the savior the messiah who was written about 600 years before Jesus? or Krishna? the Hindu god that was a carpenter, born of a virgin, written about 1000 years before Jesus? or Horus? the Egyptian god, born of a virgin and visited by three kings, baptized in a river by the baptist who was later beheaded, started preaching at 30ish, tempted in a desert, healed the blind and the sick, performed exorcisms, walked on water, raised Lazarus from the dead, had 12 disciples, crucified, then three days later two women discovered he has been resurrected and was written about 1300 years before Jesus? Not just some bloke;-)

My point is, it's just a different culture. Culture is not "all nasty" and should be appreciated. You would probably think Jesus is silly or stupid too if you were born in India or Iran or China and brought up in a different religion. I don't care what anybody believes in but trouble starts when you reject others beliefs and cultures and view them to be stupid.
