Also, my aftermarket replacement bumpers (stainless ones without a rolled lip) have a support bracket blocking where the bolt is supposed to go under the corner bar.

As you can see here, genuine ones have a big continuous curve.
reproductions have a kink, a smaller, more severe curve.

spares, but all reproductions seem to look like that. I'm just being picky though, I like it more rounded.

I'm not sure if you know this but there are two types of corner bars. Long ones which are similar to the originals, then shorter ones which were made for MPI Minis. They had to make shorter ones so that they could be fitted to cars with the 4 spot lamp design. Have you got the shorter ones which, by their nature, would have a sharper curve, or are they in fact the longer ones and are in fact different to genuine corner bars?
Just a note I'd like to add, if you have an Italian job style spot lamp bar, front corner bars will not fit. The short ones mean that the over riders fit in the same place the lamp bar fits on either side, and the longer ones mean that the corner bars would need to go through the spot lamp bar. It might be possible to make a modification to make them fit; my spot lamp bar doesn't sit vertical, so I think it might be possible to modify it so it moves back a bit, allowing the corner bar to pass in front of it.

Yup, but long ones have the kinks as well and so does the short ones, and the short short ones for the rear as well.
Most repros i've seen are kinky.
p.s. again, I'd like to say they are fine, I just prefer the roundy ones. The kinky ones won't be noticeable unless it's parked next to a mini with genuine ones. Just throwing it out there so people can decide.
