Well, my Sennheiser (sp?) CX300 headphones were lost a while ago, so I went back to my CX 200s. They were ok but I finally took the plunge and got some decent headphones as opposed to earphones.

I went for the B&W P3s (I got them a lot cheaper than the RRP, brand new) and they are amazing sound quality. My Sony Mp3 sounds brilliant again. The 200s are ok for jogging etc but for proper quality, these are miles better.

I just thought I would let anyone know who was considering upgrading headphones. If you use standard Apple ones, for example, you need to throw them away and get anything else. If you are looking for Christmas ideas for your loved ones to buy you, these are a good bet! And they look great too, They were actually designed to work with iPhones and iPods as well apparently so you should get really good sound quality from them.

PS I know if you want REAL quality, Apple stuff is not what to go for.

I tried some of the b&w's in the apple store and have to say I wasn't overly impressed by them, my Grado's out perform them significantly for a similar price but if you were able to get them cheaper then thats good, and Grados arent exactly to everyones taste!

Apple earphones are utter poo though.

I'm using some AKG K140s for home use (retro ), but I've heard the Shure SE215s are supposed to be really good in-ear headphones... might get some in the future...
