One might wonder how much those cars will be selling for in 10 years time. A good investment if bought now.
I've always doubted the 90 bhp claim as I had to re-build an S-Works engine a while back and the head work left a lot to be desired. Does anyone have a dyno print-out from one?

I think it is widely accepted that 90 bhp was optimistic and 85 was closer to the mark. My 1991 Cooper S (carb) conversion was originally advertised as 78 bhp but it recorded 72 at Minispeed RR a few weeks ago. I think that is not bad considering it is 23 years old and the original rating was probably based on very ideal factory conditions. The early S conversions, as on mine, came with a 3.44:1 FD a and I think that must compensate for having less power than the later models.
The trouble with unique models is that nobody has a clue what they are worth. It's only about what someone is prepared to pay for them.
The late MPis do seem to command the most money at present but I am sure the rarer Rover carb Coopers will be appreciated in time.

All, I have started a register for the S Works cars as part of the 2000 mini register (a sister register to the Cooper Sport 500 register that I also look after these days). We have a whole page dedicated to the PAP press cars and have one regular PAP car on our club stands at shows.

Out of 72 cars, only 2 are Seven's so far, and you have mentioned them both in this thread !
If you recall, i was the guy trying to get your 184PAP to Gaydon for a show the other year - we managed to get 4 of the 8 LOE Rover press cars together again, would be great to do a PAP line up this year
