I already bought the wavy grille about 6months ago prior to rebuild the Mini. When I bought it, it looked good in pics. But the 11slat grew on me. Much cleaner looking. I kinda got sick of the wavy ones, and I haven't even mounted them yet lol.

In person which looks better 11slat or wavy? This would be on a Mini with Sportspack + 13x7.

Is there an 8 THIN slat grille?

I prefer the 11 thin slat grilles personally, I have an 8 slat myself which I will be painting black as that also looks good :)

I have a thin 11 Slat grille on mine. I don't like it.

I'm replacing it with a wavy one.

The missus has got me a Mk2 style, Wavy grille to fit on my Mk5 MPi Cooper for xmas! Absolutely can't wait to fit it! My tired battle scared Cooper grill needs changing and I personally think the wavy one suits it more. Plus the idiot who owned my Mini before me must have replaced the front end at some point with an early Mk4 set up, as the front panel is non MPi and the grill is external release. So a new grill is needed anyway

Looks like Wavy is leading.

Has anyone come out with Thin slat grill with less than 11 slats?

I just saw two Mini's with 11slat grills, both with internal release. Didn't like it, looked too much like those American Car Billet Grilles. The external release type looks much better.
