This morning's drive and near miss has spurred me on to get some new tyres. I'm planning on some Yokohama A539s (http://minispares.co.../12/TYRE17.aspx), but obviously I'll need 'em fitted.
Can anyone recommend a good place to do this? Ideally Hertford / Harpenden but if they're Mini-friendly I don't mind a little bit of a detour..

They come to you and I've had no problems with their service.
If you're planning to buy the tyres yourself though, i'd try pan autos, had a chat with the manager and he took a set of tyres off for a fiver, also can't fault their work.

Interesting you say that, I've had bad experiences with Pan Auto as have some friends; they have a bit of a reputation round near me to be honest.
My thought was just that getting tyres and having them fitted separately may work out cheaper. Not sure I'll save much though looking at it..

Go on tyre-shopper.co.uk
I've yet to find a cheaper deal for both my mini and everyday car

Yeah, stay away from PanAuto ... awful garage. They tried to charge me £40-odd to fit a single tyre because, "...the wheels are really small."
My friend has used e-tyres for his Mini and he was happy with their service. I have used Pitstop in Welwyn Garden City to fit tyres before now, also. It does tend to work out cheaper to buy tyres and get them fitted at the same time, I find.
