There is a company in the USA, that does testing to wheels per our SAE standards. I believe its is governed by SAE J328. From what I can find, they set the standard and they recommend that you get the wheels tested to conform to that standard. Each company is responsible for having their own products tested though. They are not actually certified by the government for use.

the japanese JAL and German TUV conformity tests seem to be accepted here in the UK by a lot of retailers as the 'benchmark' for alloy wheel safety and ratings..... I cant seem to track down if the UK has its own unique safety and ratings system,

stretch a 145?? insurance will be fiiiiiine with it :-)
