hi everyone
ive got every part from a mini minus the shell and thinking of making a kit car from it. any suggestions?
possible a midas but ill need to source a shell from somewhere. is their any companys out their that supply shells.
i have very limited funds so it will have to be cheap as possible if i go ahead with it.
and the car it self will have to be small as i have limited space.

If you want a Midas your best bet is to keep an eye on ebay for a rough project.
Have a look here to see the ones that have been on recently

Yes they're a complete GRP monocoque with no steel in the shell. You can't buy a new Mini based one. The current owner of Midas would be able to sell you a later brand new shell.

a minus pick up would be cool. so im guessing you just bolt the subframes straight to the grp body?
any mods to the standard subframes needed?

The Mini based Midas uses a dural beam and coilovers on the rear, but yes the rest is more or less bolt in.

if you build a new kit car you have the added expense of a IVA test once it's finished, if you restore a already correctly registered kit car you just need a MOT and your back on the road
