following on from the topic about the golf buggy wheels which share the same pcd as mini hubs, i thought i might bring up these tyres.

if you want to run 7x10 golf buggy wheels on your mini, (im not going to go on about if this is a good idea or not, thats up to you) i thought you may like to try using a set of these tyres on them.

they are road legal, and they are far wider than 165-70-10s. as to if they are road legal for a car, thats another matter, but im certainly not against the idea of a static show car with some of these on some really wide split rims, you would certianly get some attention im sure.

Maxxis do some wicked 10"s that fit an 8" wide wheel but the weight rating is way off what you'd need for even a stripped out Mini, I'd imagine those are the same.

what weight range is needed for a minis tyre ?

can it be calculated something like this

minis weight divided by 4 (4 wheels to spread load) plus 10% (added for extra weight cornering)

is that close ?

Bungle my understanding is its kerb weight divided by the amount of wheels, the other calcs are already taken into consideration by the manufacturers but for trailers not cars.

Like you say, no where near enough weight rating for a Mini http://www.oponeo.co...10-41-q-front-e

I've heard that the wheels from a Little Tikes Cozy Coupe have the same offset and pcd as a Mini, you should fit some of those.

Surely this is the rating per tyre? therefore the total weight rating would be 1600kg? According to this site http://www.tirerack....&tireModel=A008 yokohama A008 in 10" are rated to 783lbs, which is about 350kg.

I might be wrong
