Hi Everyone

Just ordered my 7 port alloy head today, should be here tomorrow.
I am just on rebuilding my 1275 engine using plus 60 thou pistons 1.5 roller rockers, knife edged crank, steel flywheel etc
The only thing i am sure on is which came would be best suited for this application. The car will only be used as weekend toy on back roads.
I have a few cams already

Swiftune SW5-07
Minisport CA2
MG Metro

Always fancied a 286 scatter

Didnt know if anybody had tried these or have any better suggestions

thanks jonathan

Surely the whole point of a scatter cam is to open certain valves more than others to equal out the 2 port - 4 cylinders issue. Seeig as you have 4 inlet ports, doesn't it render the scatter pointless apart
From the exhaust valves side of things?

I'd definitely be looking using something more lively than the SW5... A 286 would be good, or an SW10 maybe..?

I run a 1330 with race head, Hif44, Aldon Yellow,Maniflow full system and a 276 cam and thats really mild so I think as a backroad car the 286 would be ok
