Hi

So ive been looking at some quick release steering systems but im unsure what to buy.

Ive had a quote for a BG quick release with a hub to fit my mini for £145.

I also like the NRG 2.5 gen. But i dont know what hub will go with that to fit on my austin 1985 mini.
They also do a quick lock. Which is nice.

If i get the NRG 2.5 what hub/boss do i need for my mini?

I have a BG (assuming your BG is the same as mine-Brown and Geeson). I can't fault it, also you can buy direct and their service is superb. I have another from Merlin Motorsport but that is a weld on one and nowhere near the quality of the B&G despite being the same money.

I dont want a fat one as it will make the steering wheel up to my face.

I use a Momo one as it they do a few sizes, I think mine was 100mm deep 80mm PCD IIRC. I had to use a drop bracket on the column to get the wheel in the right place.

They only thing with the BG quick release is i can only buy momo steering wheel.

No, I have a sparco one, any with the right PCD will do. With an adapter plate other common ones like Mountney and moto lita fit as well.

Ive bought the Nrg quick realease but will there short hub/boss fit on my mini? Or what boss will fit to my mini with the Nrg quick realease?
