Bought from Ryan on this forum. Got a few bits and pieces to sort and will document it all with pictures, once I've gotten my camera to work.
Pic of the car advertised and one in her new winter home.
Awaiting the brakes to arrive as well, which I bought from another forum member.

Cheers. Took her out for a little blast last night and seems quite nice, although the handling didn't feel quite as responsive as my previous minis, and seemed a little soft. This mat bee that my previous minis ran on 12 inch wheels rather than the tens with 70 profile rubber.
So, my plan is to replace all the suspension components and use GAZ dampers all round. My question is, I'm wanting to run a Maniflow LCB and realise the down pipe gonna sit quite low to the ground, so does this mean I can't fit the lowered dampers. If I were to boy a sump guard, would it clear the exhaust and fit correctly?
Ideally I wanted to run arch less, but realise I'm limited to 4.5 inch wheels when really I want to run 10x6. With this in mind, what would be the classiest of Arch. Apparently W&P arches want cover 6 inch width. Any one using wind deflectors, so they can drive with the window down in summer, without the wind blast?

Took the rocker cover off tonight, and on inspection, it would seem that it is rusting from the inside. At a guess, i'm reckoning this is a result of previous short journey and a build up of condensation. I do however have this rocker cover knocking about, which although it looks pretty shappy at the minute, once cleaned, i'm hoping it'll be a nice fit. Not exactly sure where i got it to be honest.
Also took all the sound proofing that had been put up against the bulk head, it was absolutely sodden. whoever it was that took to the engine bay with the red rattle can needs a jolly good kicking. Nothing was masked off, and it is a right bloody state.
Also seen it has a 12A 1456 head fitted, which i believe is totally standard. is it worth having this worked, or would the money be better spent on a 12g 295?

Thank you and Merry Christmas also.
Just added this set up to my wish list on the minispares website. Also added the W&P Style arches as well, so I can get 10x6 wheels. Just got to sell the Fiesta so I can pay for the bits we need.

Managed to spend a couple of hours in the garage today, so thought i'd make a start on the paintwork, see if i can make it a little nicer to look at, untill i get her in for the respray. The results were pretty impressive in my opinion. products i used are in the picture and the order in which they were used is from left to right.

Have you got a D/A that paint could be saved completely, no need for a re-spray.

It's badly scratched from (I'm guessing) poor washing techniques. Also, the scuttle-wing has been fillered and there are bits in the paint. It's ok, I knew that when I bought it, but in all honesty, the plan is to get here running mechanically sound with all the upgrades, and then strip her down for full body treatment and respray. mot'd for 12 months so going to make her look as nice as possible. Can see this getting expensive. Best I find myself a job soon.

You could save yourself some money and repair or get the paint professionally corrected and only re-paint the very worst of it? :D

I'll push the car out of the garage when it stops raining and get some daylight pictures. Probably looking to change the colour as well. Seen a new 3 series BMW in blue, tandem reckon that with black arches and root, will look sweet. Thanks again for the kind comments.
Matt.
