Strange you should mention that.

None whatsoever. Sorry.

Vinnie is off for some work, but seems the MoT was a little lenient. Brake lines covered in underseal, back end close to falling off. Gonna be having a thorough look tomorrow.

Well, looks like the engine upgrade is going to be on hold for some time. Instead, we're going to concentrate on the bodywork. Whole new from end to start with. As it is mostly filler. Was never going to get rusty under the lights that was filler and the join line had been simply cut into the filler with an angle grinder. The lower dash rail is only held in place
With a little bit of weld on one side. Hole is the rear seat pocket, very close to sub frame mount. Both corners of heel board rotten, looked like it had been plated over (I Was told they had been properly plated) but in fact the metal was just bent into position and spot welded at the top. Floors need replacing, at they are mostly mastic and spray paint. New steps fitted over old steps. Rear quarters both to be replaced. Passenger side rear quarter is just filler. No compensator on the rear brakes. No mid exhaust hanger on exhaust, brake lines secured to what was the exhaust hanger. Brake lines covered in underseal. No Vin plate. All four tyres were different treads and side walls severely cracked. 3 wheels were mini lite copies and only 1 a mini lite, with different offset. Suspension components fell to pieces on removal.
I dread to think what could have happened if I had been in a crash with my wife and daughter in the car.

Panels for the rebuild ordered. Over £800 in heritage panels. Gotta source some dogwood doors as well, as the bottoms of mine are about an inch this with filler. Also new boot and bonnet. Bonnet at the minute is a copy and has holes in it of the strap, boot is strangely marked on the inside, looks like punch marks. Looks like I am gonna have to sell my new motorbike to fund this :(
So if anyone is interested in a 62 plate Triumph Street Triple R in red with only 150 miles on the clock.

The lack of bracing hurts me.

Doesn't need bracing, as only one floor panel at a time was being removed. I have about a hundred photos. Just waiting for minispares to phone and tel me my 2 new doors are ready for collection, then she's off for spraying.

Yeah, they're heritage. Ordered through minispares in Birmingham. All 3 door steps were cut out mate. One on top of another. Same horror story with oversills. 4 or 5 of them fitted on one side.
She'll be worth it in the end though. Another month or so and she'll be ready to roll.

Thanks. She's coming along nicely. Doors arrived in Friday, so she's all ready for paint now. Still not decided on an engine yet though :(

Gonna be looking for a full Interior next. Not sure if I should go with Cobra classics, or try and find a reasonably priced Cooper leather interior.
