Cobra factory is one junction up from me, so would go for originals. Blast set I had were from Huddersfield minispares, and they fitted a treat.

Going in for paint this week, should be all painted and ready for the re-build in about a month.

Hi matt, just thought id be one to post as your 3 followers dont seem to be doing any posting .
just a question, are they oversills you,ve put back on of which are un vented ?
seems a shame to go to all this effort for coversills

No, they're proper sills, with vents and everything. The reason this is happening so quickly, is someone else is doing it for me. I can't weld yet and we need the car for this summer, hopefully we're off to the Riv run. If it hadn't had the bodywork issues, I was going to attempt the welding next year myself. College in Telford does evening classes, so going to give it a go. So my next project will be a lot cheaper as it'll not need all the heritage parts. Copy panels with stripped interior and a rattle can spray job, already have an engine for it in my garage, that I'll be building over the summer.

well, it's been at the sprayers for well over 2 months, and it's still not all in primer.  Have now been told it will be completely sprayed by the middle of next week.  Looks like i'll miss most of the summer.

Still not ready.  3 months it's been away.  Starting to hate minis.

Well, she is almost ready for the rebuild.  Just needs a hand glaze and the boot needs to be done and the special arches sprayed the same colour as the roof.  Ready for the weekend i've been told.

We'll see, but fingers crossed.

The finish on that looks impressive!, despite it being masked up and on rusty wheels you can tell it'll look great with that black roof, what colour will the wheels be ?

I know.  I was worried I was never gonna get her back, have even gone and bought another mini for bombing about in.

Also bought a mini neon interior, kind of turquoise and tartan.  That will be going to get re-upholstered in leather.  Probably won't be on the road now though until March next year, when she qualifies for free road tax.

Ah you could have just gone done and towed her back if needs must but goos excuse to get another that haha

 

Should be a stunning mini inside aswell then, look forward to seeing that now (following now as i must have forgot last time i messaged ;))
