I have a stage 1 kit exhaust package from Minispares including the RC40 Twinbox, Maniflow LCB and exhaust fittings. I am about to install the new engine and thus exhaust as well. I'm not really confident where exactly the exhaust hangers etc mount to support the exhaust as the previous owner has done it wrong and so I can't see for myself.

Does anyone have a guide, pics, or other advice that could put me in the right direction?

I have searched and thus far have only found people asking about what exhaust to use and other people suggesting the use of exhaust sealant.

Thanks

The LCB is mounted on the head and there is a bracket on the diff which stops the LCB from being stressed then there is a H shaped mount on the front centre of the rear subframe and then at the rear left or centre depending on which style RC40 you have a round cotton reel mount. I run the HD Version of the mounts as supplied by lots of after market suppliers or here from maniflow http://www.maniflow....ct&product=1223

Awesome, thanks so much!

Is there anything holding the centre box or pipe up? Or is it free from the diff to the rear subframe?

Thanks again.

No nothing from the bracket on the diff to the 1st mounting in the centre front of the rear subframe, the maniflow link shows all the mounts with exception of the diff bracket. which is shown here http://www.minispare....aspx?pid=35396

3a/3b go in the two top small holes on 1 thats the rear mount taken careoff the jublie clip goes around the tail pipe to secure it to mount 1, 4 bolts to the front centre of the rear subframe and 2 goes on the centre bolt of 4 and 5a goes around the exhaust pipe, 5b is used on the rear of the LCB where the exhaust pipe fits which would be the exhaust centre pipe between LCB and Rear Silencer Assy.

Some me included dont like the look of the clamp sticking down, and on the HD Rear fitting as in the maniflow kit there is not room to have the clamp hidden, and I know the clamp is of a heavier duty than the jubliee clip but I cant see it being stressed and is supplied by Maniflow. just a personal thing ? mine was the same as IainNeon91 when I got mine

Fantastic, exactly the info i need.

I will go with the jubilee clip to start with and will keep an eye on it. I'll upgrade to the clamp if needed.

Thanks!
