Over the past few weeks iv been trying to find a few things out what to go for what to do an not to do

I just want to know you specs of your 1380 engines and if you had it r/r what did you get out of it

Hi..I will go first.....lol.......I have a Swiftune 1380 ST 105bhp at wheels with 100lbs torque.....this was tested at Slark race engineerning May 2011...........

An sw5 will make 105 at the flywheel with a full and i do mean a full on race head on a 1380. 105 at the wheels....no chance. That sounds more like a md310. IE a full on race cam!

I got 118 at the flywheel with a 296sp and a miglia head on a 1293 just for reference.

No it wont. That chart is for the sw10. Not the 5. Its a hugely different camshaft. Even then i doubt the 125bhp power figure.

They are trying to sell a product after all. Ive not seen a 286 produce those numbers so i doubt the sw10 could either.

As tested by ACDodd this is hidden within that link he posted.

This one is a 1380 as built by Swiftune racing its one of there classics, big engine mild cam(SW5) nice head, 1.5 Roller tip rockers, Twin HS4 SU carbs, cone filters/stub stacks, Carbs was fitted with a Custom ACDodd needles and RED springs.

Produced figures of 90.5bhp@ flywheel, and 86.7lbft @ 3500rpm respectively.

Here are the exact figures if anybody want to plot them, runs taken in 3rd gear, power at wheels was 81bhp peak.

6000 90.48 79.20

A swifttune built engine with a swiftune cam making 90hp when tested by someone else.

Like i said. Numbers sell.
