Just see a pic of a 1380 with a hiff 44 on with a chamber on it with a pipe coming off it to an air filter is it a normal mini turbo plenum or made by some one else the one i saw was apparently made by k and n

Nar iv come off page now was ages ago in engine builds have a pic tho not a good pic as im on my phone

It's definitely not a Metro plenum and I've never seen a K&N item like it either. Personally I think it's more likely a home made plenum that someone has stuck a K&N sticker on.

There were several such jobbies on other SU carbed Rovers - some incorporated an electric heating element.


Montego S Series

Okay il have a lil look around

The plenum from a 1.6 Maestro or Montego bolts up to a HIF44 but they are very hard to find.

Seeing the one in that link did make me think ITG Maxogen for a moment but I don't think it's that. My money's on home made.

On an n/a it wuld just be a hugh restriction. Far better havin filter on carb with a cold air feed to it
