What Carb Is This?

The minis been sat for a while now, so i want to get her going. Anyone know what carb its is, i was thinking a hiff? as i want to refurbish it (as you can see its seen better days) .Also does anyone recon these cheap?ishh? haha

It is a hiff dont know what one tho

take the air filter off and measure the size of the hole

38 or 44mm

If your engine is a 998 i'd expect it to be a hif38 if its a 1275 it could be either but more so a hif44

As bungle says measure the hole on back of the carb

Anon - a mate gave me a carb that's no use to me now (hs4), looks to be working.. Let me know if you want it, just cover postage ;)

i would say its a hif44, looking at the flange for the k+n screws.

Looks like an Hif38, to be sure, remove the KN and measure the choke diameter it should be 38mm

Also by taking the plunger out the top (with out the dashpot removed) am i damaging anything? :s
Can anyone recomend anything to check/clean/replace on it before i start her . Obviously sparks/leads carbs etc but im abit clueless on the electric fuel pump etc

no you shouldnt be, thats how you top up the dashpot oil, so long as you dont drop anything in it ofc
