Well, your fan belt is too slack, but that does not explain the noise, which could be water pump bearings, or even alternator bearings. You need a simple stethoscope, basically a length of wood or a thick screwdriver. Taking great care to avoid entangling it in the belt, put one end on the suspected components and the other end on your ear. You will be amazed at how many noises you will hear, and the one which concerns you will be loudest on the item which is generating it.

But check for simple things like loose fan bolts or a loose cowling too.

Battery seems to be getting flat and it looks fairly new so that woul suggest I am looking for alternator bearing

Maybe, but the battery will go flat with a slack fan belt.
