When people use the centre binnacle do you only use a bottom dash rail as all the pictures I have found don't have a top dash rail?

The top rail cover was originally for the clubmans, as was the drivers side clock binnacle set up. 'Normal' minis didn't use them, at least in the UK market (with the exception of the 1100 special) The clubman was discontinued in 1980 and not long after that the top padded rail covers and drivers side binnacle where made standard on all minis.
Normally If you where putting an older center speedo in a later car with the top rail pad, you would remove the top pad for a more authentic look.
Eyeball vents where a clubman spec part that ended up in the roundnose too. You might want to loose those aswell.

I've not got the vents in the dash I had them blanked off. Thanks for the replies. We're do people usually put the extra gauges as I want a centre binnacle but also want a rev gauge and a few others.
