I expect the websites will be updated shortly, but here are some pictures and comments from last year's - http://www.austinmem...e58/page58.html The other website to keep an eye on is http://www.austinlon...deration.co.uk/
Here is a short video from last year - http://www.dep-o.co....ongbridge-2012/
I will be organising the Cowley Convoy for the third year, leaving from MINI Plant Oxford at about 8.30am on the morning. Both the Convoy and the Pride of Longbridge event itself are free of charge. For more details about the convoy, please PM me. We also have a Facebook group for the Convoy - https://www.facebook...28401660618757/
If you can make the Pride of Longbridge, you really should. It serves to both mark and remember the mass redundancies in 2005 and also celebrate the fantastic achievements of Austin and Longbridge.

Won't be in the mini though, I'll be in the MG ZT-T. It's a long way from Scotland

Hopefully I'll be able to get to this, this year. Been meaning to go for years but, never just seem able to make it.

Brilliant! The model of car doesn't matter, just so long as it's Austin/Longbridge related. It's pretty impressive how far people now come to join this event

Here is the park layout and a message from John Baker:
The Pride of Longbridge will take place, BUT owing to the area allocated to us by the Parks department because of the ground conditions. We are only able to allocate a few areas where certain models can park. So all other cars will have to park in area D. It would help the organisers if all owners could park their cars as close as possible.
Thank you for your support in making this POL the best ever.
Kind regards
John Baker
ALF Chairman

You did very well to film so many different cars on the convoy. It's a shame that Milly and I were in the last burst to leave so you weren't able to film her, though we did have the honour of leading the Pink Lane!
It was a shame that the weather was cold and damp in the afternoon at Longbridge, but it was more reasonable at the Cowley end, and for the convoy.
If any of you fancy joining us next year, either pm me or contact us through the website http://cowleyconvoy.info/ or on Facebook - https://www.facebook...28401660618757/. If you either live in the Oxford area or we are en route to PoL for you, why not join us as it's a great way to get there. Having said that, we did have someone drive from Birmingham to so he could join the convoy!
MINI Plant Oxford opened their Centenary Exhibition for us which was an added bonus.

Well, I did actually breakdown in my Cooper Sport 500 after hitting a pot hole, many of you had to go around me on the main A44! Luckily I guessed it was the stupid MPi fuel cut-off switch and was soon back up and running..............as seen in the video clip !
I remember passing you, I flashed my lights. Good to hear it was a simple fix.
Stuart - you have excelled yourself! This is fantastic - thank you very much!

I think I could of left with the final lot and just about got up to the front by the end as I caught the Cops and Jason about 5 miles from Crofton.
The weather was a pain for taking pictures. I don't have as many as last year as there was not much time before the rain came and the mass exodus (how many of you now have Bob Marley in your head?).
Anyway, here's a few of my favorites.
