I'm going for the choke cable stopper / barrel nut / bolt assy

or the nut that holds on the back of the switches / choke / heater assy

either can vanish upon my fingers getting near them - never to be found again

even the points screw seem massive compared to them

any worse than the above , I should prepare for ???

I always find it more frustrating when you lose something larger.
And on that note, one of the the previous owners of my car managed to lose the plastic cover over the fuse box, that after a year and a half of ownership I found it down the back of the engine, god knows how long its been there haha

I find it more frustrating buying something and putting it away in a 'safe' place until it's needed. Then when the time comes, not being able to find it, buying another and then finding the original 'lost' item.

Smallest part I have lost would have to be some tiny tiny tiny screws from various phones, laptops, etc never to be found again, always end up in the carpet pile and can never see them,

car related the most annoying thing I lost was a socket about 5 months ago that i found recently when i took out my front subby, it was in that space where things fall and never come out just above the steering rack

The smallest part I lost was the small spring in the indicator stalk
Heard it ping off whilst I was trying to reassemble it the first time.

I was helping a mate fit a stage 1 kit on friday at one of those DIY service stations. Walking towards the counter to borrow some tools I dropped the screw from the choke cable trunnion. Found it about 10 minutes later after crawling around on the floor on all fours.

The irony being I was carrying it so I wouldn't lose it...
