mini clutch was working fine. car has been unused for last 4 months and now i can't depress the clutch pedal at all, I can have the car running and select gears from 1 to 4 and reverse so its as if the clutch plates have seized in the depressed position if that makes sense.
is there a quick fix or any tips to unseize the clutch or depress the pedal, because otherwise i think i will have to take the egine and gearbox out.
thanks..

Is it the master cyl siezed ? or maybe the slave ? does the clutch arm loo fully thrown as if the clutch pedal is down?
with your foot off the clutch there is no way you should be able to select gears ?
remove the slave cylinder and get someone else to depress the clutch slowly and carefully , if the pedal goes down then its in the pivot at the base of the clutch arm or internal. Caution on who ever presses the clutch though you only looking for a very very small amount of clutch pedal movement or you will have the slave cyl shoot apart.
Obviously if the pedal doesn't move its the slave or the master, remove the pipe to the master cyl to slave and press now, if it moves its the slave siezed if not its the master cyl.

It sounds like the clutch plunger has stuck in, thus meaning the clutch is permanently disengaged..
What happens is, you get in the car, press the clutch pedal as normal, the plunger goes in but does not come out when you take you foot off the clutch. Hydraulic fluid back fills from the master cylinder rather than returning from the slave, so when you come to press the clutch again the pedal is solid as it can't push the plunger in any further.
Undo the blead nipple on the slave to relieve any pressure and try and work the plunger back out, or you may have to remove the clutch cover.

I have found penetrating fluid and a little ''assistance'' with a hammer helpful when the plunger gets stuck

had this with a 98 that had sat about for a few months, rust in the slave cylinder as soon as you press it, it sticks in releasing the bleed nipple doesnt help.
Could also be the plunger sticking per guess works.
If undoing the slave cylinder, undo the rear bolt first when it jammed like this, as removing the front one, then cracking the rear, results in the pressure of the clutch rotating the slave as the bolt is released making it a complete arse to get the rear bolt out, if its out first it will rotate forward and the front one is easy enough to get out.
