Hello all.

My time clock in my mini is broken. I wanted to buy a new one but the one i want....an original replacement for my current clock (same design/colour, to match the rest of my gauges) is 170 odd quid!! Seem bloomin expensive to me.

I was wondering if anyone had repaired their time clock before? and how? i assume its connected to the main car battary and not a little watch battary..The hands on my clock do spin round, but the time is never right....maybe its mini time ;-)

cheers

I got mine from somerford - It's the cheapest place I could get a new one.
I made the mistake of buying a second hand one from a member on here which didn't work either Grrrr

My advice is get a new one.

If you need a broken second hand one to fill the gap I have 2 going spare :goaway:

This may not be the fault ...

years ago a customer bought a car back claiming the speedo was reading slow (car was fast)

which it was ...

got the back off the speedo , to find a spider web was dragging the mechanism / needle spring , holding the needle back

never did figure what the spider was planning to catch in there

I would take it to a clock smith if the fault isn't that obvious , get a quote first
