Hi,

Few months ago now i got my fist Mac computer, and before i got it i had a windows computer with NOD 32 and Spybot antivirus software running on it. But as far as im aware (unless apple puts it on as standard?) i currently have no antivirus at all.

So my question is, what antivirus software are you running on your mac's?

Thanks alot,

Mike :-)

None.

I have Clean My Mac for cleaning out Cache files etc and I use AdBlock Pro on Google Chrome so I get no pop ups.

Thats it.

To be honest, I tried one, Its a free one can't remember what it was called. It made my computer slower, it bogged it down. As soon as I removed it with CleanMyMac (so everything about it was gone) it was fine.

Since then I haven't had one.

EDIT - Sophos Anti-Virus was the one that I tried.

i second kaspersky,

but an anti virus isn't essential on a mac.
only necessary if swapping files between mac and windows platform
but windows should have there own antivirus

Spyware is more what you should beware of with a mac. I use a program called clamXav. Basic but it was one that was recommended on the apple site and it seems to work.
