I ve got a carb a JZX1611 came fitted with a turbo and plenum, looking about there seems to be some confession is this a Merto turbo Carb. Reading about I can see a FZX??? Mentioned.. If its not does anyone know the difference, it's a 1"3/4 HIF44.. many thanks

You can tell by which pipes and stuff it has coming out of the side, and also there is a seal if you take the dashpot off.

Exactly thanks for the info but......
The Metro Haynes manual states it should be a FZX 1411 even the SU website says the same, but it seems that all the turbo owners I've spoken to are using this JZX1611, the same as mine and Identical to the one on the left in the picture....
According to the SU site the JZX1611 dosent exist!!!!
It's really strange not sure if it's a printing error or Someome was make snide SU carbs..anymore info would be great...

You can adapt an none turbo carb to turbo use, use a turbo rebuild kit and block off the unwanted hole(s). The lack of crank case breather connection & the groove for the clamp on the top are best indicators of the genuine article.
