So, filled up the mini with oil last weekend for the first time since building it and the diff output seals are leaking. My own fault, I didn't replace them when I built the engine. Anyway, I've got a new set of seals and just wanted to check something before I start.
It's an early 4 synchro box with moulton outputs, looking at exploded diagrams it looks to me like I need to get the drive shafts out the way, then take out the split pin, remove castellated nut, slide off the moulton coupling, then I should be able to get at the seals to remove & replace.
Is it really that simple?
Cheers

yes mate once you have the split pin out and the castle nut off you have the flange off the output shaft you have access to the seals

the job would be easier if you removed the diff side covers and do the job on a bench........that way you can check the bronze bushes are worn.....

Yes, you may well find the bronze diff cover bushes are worn and need replacing as well.

Thanks once again for your comments. I already had some end case gaskets so took your advice and whipped them off to change the seals. Would never have done it else!
Checked the bronze bushes as recommended and all seams fine. Now all back together, will fill the oil back up tomorrow and check for leaks.
Scott.
