Looking to purchase a Kent 266 cam for an A series (not A+) engine rebuild. The only one I can find listed is to fit the A+ with a slot drive? Presumably if I change the oil pump to suit that would be ok? Cheers, Steve.

Yup - the oil pump is the only part that is cam specific.
You'd want to change the pump and cam followers anyway.

I've got a decent 266 with spider drive. If interested, pm me.

Is this for a small bore (ie 998) or large bore (ie 1275) A-series block?
I don't know about the later small bore blocks but the 998 A-series small bore blocks up to the mid 70's could only use the spider drive cam with the addition of a 1/4inch spacer between the oil pump and block.
Not a problem with large bore blocks.

Yes - the spider pump was only ever made for long blocks......
