Micheal & Holly Horsler run HAMOC and they are true Mini enthusiasts.
They run the H2H every April and that's a lot of fun.

I've done it for the last few years, but last year it was wet and the run proceeded so slowly along the country roads that my rather powerful 'S' engine didn't like being in 2nd & 3rd gear all day so I might give it a miss this year. I used my Innocenti the year before last and that was fine as the engine is like a standard Mk.1 Cooper 'S' with about 75 bhp, so it drives very smoothly and quietly.
It is fun to be in a convoy with another 120 Minis though.

Have thought about it a few times, particularly as it's my local club and the monthly meeting is in the pub round the corner from me.The thing is though, that I can exchange all the classic mini advice that I could ever want to here on TMF. I can also get a bigger minispares discount with TMF+ membership, and TMF+ membership also gets me the same discount on insurance that being in owners club does. Whilst I've never done the H2H run, I believe that it's open to non HAMOC members, so it's not like I'd actually need to be a member if I did ever want to take part.

You do get a 10% discount at my local motor factors though, and as I seem to keep that place in business with my two minis, then maybe I really should join!!
